ABOUT

Chiara Alessandro is a dancer currently based in Strasbourg, France.
Originally from Sicily, in southern Italy, Chiara has an nternational background and a strong creative sensitivity.

She began her dance training at RIDA – Rome International Dance Academy, where she also danced with the junior company and had the opportunity to work with guest choreographers such as Antonin Comestaz, Samir Calixto, Luca Signoretti, and Stephen Delattre. In 2017, she participated in an exchange with De Stilte Company in Breda (Netherlands), where she learned and performed a duo from the repertoire choreographed by Sara Lourenco. That same year, the duo Radici was selected to perform at the Fini International Gala at the Alvin Ailey Theatre in New York.

Chiara then joined Dance Area – Jeune Ballet, a professional training and young ballet program based in Geneva, Switzerland. There, she developed versatility by studying a wide range of techniques, from classical ballet to physical theatre. She also began teaching contemporary dance classes at the school for children (7–8 years), teenagers (16–18 years), and adults. With the young company, she performed works by Gil Harush, Jose Agudo, Fàbio Lopez, and Gerald Durand, touring in Switzerland, France, England, Spain, and Italy.
After several international collaborations — including a neoclassical project with Cie Julio Arozarena in Switzerland and a contemporary dance project with Yet Company in Germany — she became a member of Inversedance Company in Budapest, Hungary, in 2021. She performed the company’s repertoire, including leading roles, and participated in tours, festivals, and galas in Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia, Romania, Italy, and Latin America.
Between 2022 and 2025, she led workshops in Sicily aimed at young dancers. In 2022, she co-created a duo, In the Country of Last Things, for Elena Cattardico’s projects, which was presented in 2023 at the Chania International Contemporary Dance Festival in Greece.
Since February 2026, Chiara has been based in Strasbourg. She works with Cie Gil Harush and Inversedance, and she is also eager to share and connect with other artistic communities in France.
Alongside her artistic career, Chiara is pursuing studies in Arts and Culture Design and Management at the University of Florence, combining her passion for performance with a broader perspective on cultural development.
